This website is as close as you want to get to getting into George’s mind…Always juggling multiple projects (and bands), you can scan through his current line-ups, his newest projects and other trouble he’s been up to recently…Peace, G
Thanks to everyone who came out to see us at the Chaffee Art Gallery. It was a beautiful location for a show, great turn-out and we introduced a new band member, Emily Nelson, who sang and played bass. Stay tuned for upcoming shows and news…
We had an amazing CD release party on Oct. 25th with a standing room crowd, (OK, the room was small, but it was still standing room only). If you’d like to download the album, it’s available on CD baby, or click on the icon below to go right to iTunes.
The new album, “The One That Got Away,” is mixed, mastered and being replicated at Mount Hollywood Studios. Advanced copies may be heading out soon…
On their upcoming album, Miss Guided Angels cover the song, “Let’s Drop It,” written by Josh Brooks from Vergennes, Vermont. This is what Josh had to say about it:
“Having a song covered by George Nostrand is a sign you’re doing something right. He rubs shoulders with some of the state and regions best musicians and songwriters, so I’m humbled and honored that he picked one of my songs for his album.
I love how he re-envisions the song as a duet, like a conversation between two lovers who want to get past arguing and on to the good stuff. A good cover keeps the spirit of the original while adding a new flavor or perspective, and George and his Miss Guided Angels have definitely done that with ‘Let’s Drop It’”

There are a lot of festivals out there, run to varying degrees of success, but these folks really know their stuff and treat musicians not as trash or royalty, but as friends. Kudos to Ray, Chris and Matt and hope to see everyone next year.
The successful release party for the single and video, “Here Today, Gone Tomorrow,” from the upcoming album by Miss Guided Angels was held May 30th at Strangefellows Pub, 13 Evelyn St., Rutland. There were brief acoustic performances by the band, as well as producer Phil Henry. Here’s the video:
